Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 2026
Bonk ("we," "our," or "us") is a Screen Time companion app for iOS. This policy explains how we handle information. In short: we do not collect any data. Bonk has no account sign-in, no cloud sync, no analytics, and no advertising. Everything the app needs to work stays on your device.
Information stored on your device
To provide its features, Bonk stores data locally on your device, including:
- Apps you choose to track and your per-app settings
- Screen Time and Device Activity data authorized through Apple's Screen Time APIs
- Usage summaries shown in the app
- Subscription status managed through Apple's StoreKit
This data remains on your device and in Apple-managed containers. It is not transmitted to any servers and we do not operate any servers that collect this information.
Apple Screen Time permission
Bonk requires Screen Time permission to monitor usage of apps you select. Apple provides this data through restricted system APIs. You can revoke access at any time in Settings → Screen Time → Bonk.
Subscriptions
Optional paid features are billed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Payment and subscription management are handled entirely by Apple. We receive only the subscription status needed to unlock features — not your payment card details.
Third parties
Bonk relies on Apple's operating system, Screen Time framework, and App Store infrastructure. Their handling of data is governed by Apple's privacy policies. We do not embed third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the app.
Data retention and deletion
Data stored locally on your device is removed when you delete the app from your device. You can also reset Screen Time permissions in iOS Settings.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy at any time. The last updated date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Bonk after changes means you accept the updated policy.
